Terms

The short version: your name and basic page are free forever, the name must be your real business, paid plans are optional and money never buys a rating, a review or a badge.

Who we are

JobWizard is a home services directory based in Perth, Western Australia. In these terms “we” and “us” means JobWizard, and “you” means the business claiming a name or listing a page. By claiming a name you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

Your name

  • Each business gets one free name, such as jobwizard.com.au/yourbusiness. One free name per mobile number.
  • The name must be your business name, a trading name you use, or a fair short form of it. It can't be another business's name, a person's name you don't represent, or anything offensive or misleading.
  • Some names are held back: suburb and city names on their own, plain descriptions like “perthplumber”, and words we need for the site. Town plus trade, such as “fremantle-plumbing”, is fine if it is how your business is known.
  • Names can't be sold or transferred. If two businesses want the same name, the holder of the registered business name or trade mark gets it, with evidence. We may move a name that breaks these rules, and we tell you first.

Founding Members

Businesses that claim a name before launch on 1 January 2027 are Founding Members, numbered in the order they claimed. The badge stays on your page while your listing is active. It shows when you joined. It isn't a rating or a recommendation.

Your page

  • What you put on your page must be true and yours to use: your business details, licences, photos, prices and logo. If you fill your page from your website, check the details before you save them.
  • You keep ownership of your content. You let us show it on JobWizard, and in search engines and previews of your page, for as long as it is listed.
  • Licence and ABN badges only appear after we check them against the official registers. We may recheck, and remove a badge that is no longer current.
  • Pages go live from 1 January 2027, Perth first and then state by state. If a date moves, we'll tell you.

Reviews

Reviews come from real jobs. We never remove, hide or reorder a review for money. You can reply publicly, and you can ask us to look at a review you believe is fake or abusive, with evidence.

Quote requests

A quote request from your page goes to you only. Use the homeowner's details only to respond to that request, never for unrelated marketing, and handle them as the Privacy Act requires.

Paid plans

  • The free plan stays free. Paid plans are optional, and all prices include GST.
  • Verified: $149 a year. Founding price $99 for the first year if you join before launch.
  • Featured: $39 a month. Founding price $29 a month, locked while you stay on the plan. Three spots per trade per suburb, first in first served.
  • Pre-orders before launch are not charged until 1 January 2027. Cancel any time before then and you pay nothing. After that, plans renew until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
  • If you cancel or move to a lower plan, a founding price ends and the standard price applies if you come back.
  • Featured buys position only. It is always labelled as paid, and it never buys a rating, a review or a badge.

Ending a listing

You can close your page at any time by emailing hello@jobwizard.com.au. We may suspend or remove a listing for false licence or insurance claims, fake reviews, abuse of homeowners or staff, or using JobWizard to spam. Where we can, we tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it.

Our role

JobWizard connects homeowners and businesses. The work, the quote and the contract are between the homeowner and the business. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Beyond those rights, and as far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our liability to a business is limited to what it paid us in the previous 12 months.

Changes and law

We'll update these terms as JobWizard grows, and tell you about any change that affects you before it applies. These terms are governed by the law of Western Australia.
